Cancer Summaries and Commentaries: Update from Chicago: Advances in the Treatment of Hematologic Malignancies is organized by Physicians Education Resource, LLC (PER).
The targeted audience for this medical and surgical oncologists who treat patients with hematologic malignancies. Fellows, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) involved in the management of patients with hematologic malignancies are also invited to participate.
Cancer Summaries and Commentaries is an online publication that is designed to update physicians on hematologic malignancies data that have been presented at major national and international conferences.
The activity consists of 6 short summaries of key clinical data. The abstracts were chosen using input from experts working closely with PER. The summaries are accompanied by expert commentary providing participants with insight into how new data fit into the current field, and how clinicians can apply these findings to their clinical practice to improve patient care.
At the conclusion of this activity, you should be better prepared to:
*Summarize prognostic and predictive biomarkers and their use to guide clinical decision-making in the management of hematologic malignancies
*Describe findings from recently conducted trials that assessed emerging strategies for the management of hematologic tumors
*Place recent clinical trial data in the context of evolving treatment paradigms in the management of patients with hematologic malignancies
