This course explains the often confusing terminology related to pediatric torsion conditions. A correct understanding of the terminology leads to a comprehensive assessment of the problem, & therefore the best intervention options. Liesa explains the potential causes of pediatric torsional conditions, with related etiology-appropriate interventions. Specifically, science & research findings are described from a clinical perspective, including age specific values. As a result, the clinician will be better able to assess pediatric torsion & determine effective interventions.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Choose 2 assessment techniques for In Toeing
  • Define how to discern between femoral torsion & excessive medial hip rotation
  • List 2 methods of intervention for Out Toeing
