7. Explain the mechanism of action, metabolism, and effects of codone compounds on the central nervous system.
8. Reflect on the most appropriate formulation and strength of hydrocodone based on pain intensity, duration, and individual needs, considering factors such as age, renal or hepatic impairment, and potential drug interactions.
9. Identify risk factors for opioid misuse, addiction, and overdose through patient history, screening tools, and PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) review.
