Neurology: Progressive Rural-Urban Disparity in Acute Stroke Care is organized by American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and will be held during Jan 31, 2017 - Jan 31, 2020.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians who are involved in providing patient care and who wish to advance their current knowledge of clinical medicine. This CME Conference has been approved For a maximum of 0.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
Upon completion of the article by Gonzales et al, the participant should be able to:
• Discuss differences in tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) utilization for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) seen at urban and rural hospitals in this study.
• Describe trends in the utilization of tPA for AIS at rural hospitals between 2001 and 2010.
• Identify states in which the greatest disparity between rural and urban hospitals was observed in regards to tPA administration.
