Overview:
Treatment of HER2+ metastatic breast cancer (MBC) has significantly improved with the introduction of HER2-targeted agents. However, there is still a need for alternative treatments for patients who progress through multiple lines of therapy unsuccessfully. Emerging evidence suggests that novel agents may provide options for these patients.
Breast cancer experts Dr. Joyce O'Shaughnessy and Dr. Sara Tolaney offer their perspectives on the latest evidence and evolving guidelines, as well as insight on the emerging treatment approaches for difficult-to-treat patient populations with HER2+ MBC.
