Description:
The Instructor Course for Community Programs is a comprehensive course that is geared to those offering community based programming leveraging the Activator® Poles.  This course will  provide  course participants the practical skills of Urban Poling (aka Nordic walking) as well as the Activator® technique to serve clients with a variety of abilities in their communities.  A pair of Activator® Poles and Boot Tips are included in the price of enrollment

What you will learn!

Urban Poling Technique 

Understand the principles and benefits of pole walking as an effective form of rehabilitation and fitness for individuals with a variety of chronic conditions or for those simply looking to make the most of their walk.  Learn teaching strategies to be able to provide various types of cuing based on individual learning styles, and discuss how to determine the appropriate technique for each individual

Learning Outcomes

  • Identifying appropriate technique for your client·                 

              · Modifying exercises to support various client conditions· 

  • Starting classes and/or workshops in your community· 
  • Sample video of a virtual exercise session·  
  • Seated, standing and dynamic stretching.
