Description:
Explore unconscious bias and the ways that our stories about illness/health, race/gender, us/them, prevent us from being of the greatest service possible. Access hidden beliefs and befriend the undeniable truth that you are not the boss of your brain. This session will cover: your brain, sensory input, prediction loops and implicit bias.

Learning Objectives:
• Understand the unconscious ways your beliefs are formed
• Understand the essential neurological pitfalls of our “efficient” brains in terms of seeing people for who they are
• Have new tools to question your own assumptions in useful and actionable ways
• Understand how unconscious biases support racism and “otherness”
