This live webinar, held over 2 days, focuses on using the NDT Practice Model in treating a child with hypotonia. Specific strategies to improve motor control in this population will be presented. Treatment strategies based on the common impairments of the sensorimotor system in this population will be demonstrated through the use of videotapes, case studies, and practice labs. Participants will problem-solve strategies to improve the functional motor performance of the child with hypotonia.

Objectives Topics:
At the end of this live webinar, the participant will be able to:
• Describe the common impairments seen in children with hypotonia.
• Utilize current motor control research as it applies to postural control in a child with hypotonia
• Analyze the movement patterns of the hypotonic child.
• Apply the principles of improving alignment, the base of support, and control of weight shift.
• Explain the role of SMART goals in treatment planning for the child with hypotonia.
