Overview:
Radiologic imaging affects all oncology patients. This one-day virtual course is designed to address a learning gap in APP knowledge on radiologic interpretation by providing a general overview of radiologic interpretation in the oncology population including imaging of the neck, breast, chest, abdomen, pelvis, brain, spine, extremity, and whole body, including pediatric considerations. Modalities discussed will include X-Ray, ultrasound computed tomography (CT) scan, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and nuclear imaging scans. Content will be reinforced using a case study approach of radiologic interpretation through the cancer care continuum.

Objectives:
• Gain a basic understanding of the principles and interpretation of common imaging modalities and translate the knowledge learned to clinical practice
• Identify the clinical indications for and selection criteria of various imaging modalities
• Recognize common abnormalities on various radiology examinations
• Address challenges and limitations of the various imaging modalities
• Discuss the differential diagnosis for common radiographic findings
• Explain the role of imaging in cancer screening, staging, and surveillance
