Emergency Radiology Course - MRI in Stroke Imaging 2026 is organized by Unilabs Academy and will be held from Oct 05 - 07, 2026.

Description:
This fellowship course provides deep insights into the ischemic stroke MRI findings. You will learn to optimize and execute the MRI brain stroke protocol, covering essential sequences for identifying ischemic changes and infarcts.

This training focuses on a practical approach to managing stroke patients in your radiology workflow using MRI. There will be an emphasis on how to extract as much information as you can from your basic sequences as well as how this correlates with more advanced imaging like perfusion.

It will encompass both the basic aspects of MRI interpretation, but also in part focus on which findings are important to underline for patients who need mechanical thrombectomy and how to communicate these to your colleagues to optimize the stroke workflow.

Learning Objectives:

Review anatomy of stroke
Recognize infarcted and tissue at risk
How to localize thrombus and indirect signs of penumbra
What does the interventional neuroradiologist need to know from you

Programme will include:

Many examples of stroke with emphasis on the acute interpretation
How to squees your basic sequences to the max and extract as much information as you can
In large vessel occlusion cases, see what the subsequent angiography shows and what consideration we take before taking patients to treatment
Individual case reading and interpretation on provided cases
Group case discussion of the selected cases
Access to presentation slides, session recordings, and other course materials
Access to discussed cases after the fellowship
