OVERVIEW

Applied Anatomy in Neuroradiology Fellowship is organized by Unilabs Academy and will be held from Oct 26 - 28, 2026.

Description:
This online neuroradiology course provides a practical approach to applied neuroanatomy and its role in the interpretation of normal and pathological findings within the central nervous system. The programme focuses on brain anatomy and fibre connections, vascular anatomy and collateral circulation, and the ventricular system and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) spaces.

Participants will learn to apply anatomical knowledge to everyday neuroradiology reporting through a combination of short lectures, interactive case-based learning, and practical imaging examples.

Each module includes expert-led lectures followed by structured individual case readings, review sessions, and group discussions. Additional review lectures and Q&A sessions reinforce key concepts and support clinical decision-making.

Unilabs Academy online radiology courses are held in a virtual classroom environment on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions using their camera and microphone to recreate the face-to-face learning experience.

In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of Dr. Mikkelsen. Online sessions are recorded so you can review them on your own time following the training.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the organization of the central nervous system.
  • Identify important anatomical landmarks and fibre tracts on neuroimaging.
  • Understand the vascular supply of the brain and the role of collateral circulation.
  • Recognize the anatomy of the ventricular system and CSF spaces and their relevance in disease.

Programme will include:

  • Lectures on brain anatomy, fibre connections, vascular anatomy, collateral circulation, and CSF spaces.
  • Structured individual case reading and interpretation.
  • Interactive group case discussions.
  • Additional review lectures to reinforce key concepts.
  • Plenty of time for Q&A with the radiologist mentor.
  • Access to presentation slides, session recordings, and other course materials.
  • Personal dashboard and course materials on the Unilabs Academy online platform.
  • Certificate of attendance – An application has been made to the UEMS/EBR for CME accreditation of this event.

Level
