Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychopharmacology Training is organized by Postpartum Support International (PSI) and will be held on Sep 19, 2025.
Description:
Postpartum Support International presents a 6-hour advanced course on psychiatric pharmacology during pregnancy and lactation, taught by perinatal psychiatric experts. It is an interactive, case-based advanced seminar, covering differential diagnosis, medication challenges, case examples, research on medication safety, and your questions. Participants should have previously completed at least 14 hours of perinatal mental health training.
This course is a pre-requisite for the perinatal mental health certification, in the psychopharmacology specialty.
PSI’s two-day Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care training or an equivalent fourteen-hour perinatal mood disorders certificate course is a pre-requisite for this advanced training. Please contact certification@postpartum.net with questions you may have about meeting the pre-requisite.

CME: The AAFP has reviewed PSI Perinatal Psychopharmacology Advanced Course, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 12/09/2023 to 12/09/2024. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This session is approved for 6 hours AAFP Prescribed credits. AMA/AAFP Equivalency – AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.
