OVERVIEW

Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) Virtual Scientific Sessions 2021 is organized by Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR). This Online CME Course will be held from Feb 18 - 20, 2021.

Course Description:
The Virtual Scientific Sessions incorporates lecture sessions by world leaders in the field of CMR, oral abstract and poster presentations of the latest science, as well as state-of-the-art studies of most useful practices in cardiac imaging. Dedicated courses through the meeting review MRI physics for cardiac imaging and refresh the fundamentals of cardiology. Do you scan patients with congenital heart disease? Cement your foundation with our pre-conference course for CMR in congenital heart disease and follow the CHD track during the meeting.

Content Highlights:
• Opening Plenary, Debate, and Discussion on the role of CMR in patients with COVID-19
• Pre-Conference Courses - “Introduction to CMR” and “Pediatric & CHD CMR”
• Debates on the role of CMR in ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, and parametric mapping
• Early Career and Professional Development Sessions
• Scientific Sessions highlighting breakthrough developments in new CMR techniques, early translational studies, and clinical validation of CMR in cardiovascular medicine
• SCMR-ISMRM Workshop – “Advanced CMR of Cardiac Mechanics and Hemodynamics: Towards IndividualizedEvaluation of Cardiovascular Disease”
• Technologist Track Sessions
• Social Networking Activities

Purpose/Objective:
The field of Cardiac MRI is swiftly evolving and clinicians/technologists do not know how to implement or use some of the newer techniques available that can enhance patient care, research, and education. To close the gap, learners 'need' to know how to practically implement more advanced imaging sequences and better understand how to use them in practice. This SCM 2021 Virtual CME will educate learners through lectures and courses at the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) Virtual Scientific Sessions on machine learning, new perfusion technique, and contrast methods for examining future cardiovascular risk, as well as other new technologies in the field. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with experts in the field to learn about new technology.

Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
