Karen Lyons MD, MBB.Ch, BAO, FFR

Dr. Karen Lyons, M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O., FFR is an Assistant Professor of Radiology for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She joined the staff of UAMS/Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2015. She is the Director of Pediatric Cardiac, Body, and Fetal Imaging at ACH. She attended medical school at the University College Cork in Cork, Ireland. She completed two internships: one at Midwestern Regional Hospital in Limerick, Ireland, and one at South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital in Cork, Ireland. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Cork University Hospital, Wilton, Cork, Ireland and then completed another residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. Her subsequent fellowships were in Pediatric Cardiovascular Imaging and also in Pediatric Radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is a Fellow of the Faculty of Radiologists of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr. Lyons specializes in pediatric cardiovascular and chest imaging as well as fetal imaging.
