The Rapidly Developing Field of Pediatric Psychopharmacology: October 2025 is organized by Healio.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the bidirectional relationship between attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and substance use disorder (SUD) in transitional-age youth and apply evidence-based strategies to manage ADHD while minimizing stimulant misuse and diversion.
  2. Identify current empirically supported pharmacologic and psychosocial treatment options for pediatric bipolar disorder in order to implement best practices.
  3. Become familiar with current evidence-based practices for difficult-to-treat depression in children and adolescents.
  4. Evaluate current evidence-based pharmacologic strategies for managing aggression in children and adolescents, with attention to diagnosis-specific approaches and limitations of existing treatment data.
