Updates in Medical Oncology 2026 is organized by Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) and will be held on May 14, 2026 at Dorrance H. Hamilton Building, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Overview:
Updates in Clinical Oncology will provide a review of recent development in the therapy of cancers and related diseases. Speakers will focus on emerging therapies in the clinical arena, including discussion of the practical aspects of therapy, supportive care and therapy related toxicities. Immunotherapies across all disease areas, cellular therapies in solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, innovative supportive care, and management of toxicities will be covered.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

  1. Analyze recent advances in the delivery of immunotherapies to patients with cancers.
  2. Evaluate the of artificial intelligence in the management of patients with oncologic diseases.
  3. Apply concepts in supportive care and integrative medicine to the care of patients with oncologic diseases.
  4. Summarize the role of professional societies in driving change in the care of patients with cancer.
  5. Explain the presentation and management of patients with thyroid cancer.
  6. Summarize the off target toxicities of immuno-therapies used in cancer care.

In support of improving patient care, Thomas Jefferson University is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
