Dr. Sarah W. Gordon, DO, is an Associate Professor and an accomplished medical oncologist at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University. She serves as the Medical Director of Bodine Infusion and the Clinical Co-Director of the Phase 1 Program/Early Drug Development Office at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as the Lung Program Leader for Enterprise Jefferson Health. Dr. Gordon’s research is focused on early-phase clinical trials and innovative therapeutic strategies for solid tumors, including work on combination therapies such as regorafenib with sildenafil and investigations into the use of veliparib and bevacizumab in gynecologic cancers, as well as post hoc analyses related to BRCA status and treatment toxicity.
Clinically, she is dedicated to advancing care for patients with lung and aerodigestive cancers, leading the Thoracic Malignancy Oncologic Group, a multidisciplinary initiative aimed at improving outcomes in these challenging diseases. Dr. Gordon earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her residency at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital, and pursued her hematology/oncology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology, and has contributed to numerous significant publications in her field.
