OVERVIEW

AdventHealth Updates in Foregut 2026 is organized by AdventHealth Nicholson Center and will be held on Aug 15, 2026 at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Description:
The management of foregut disorders is moving at an unprecedented pace. From transformative metabolic therapies to the rapid expansion of robotic and interventional platforms, the tools reshaping our clinical practice are more complex than ever. For the busy provider, staying at the forefront of these shifts is a constant challenge.

This one-day CME symposium is designed to cut through the noise, delivering high-yield, evidence-based updates on the most pressing "Clinical Crossroads" in esophageal and gastric disease. Tailored for gastroenterologists, surgeons, and advanced practice providers, our program moves beyond traditional lectures to emphasize a true team-based approach. Through provocative debates and expert-led discussions, we will explore the latest in reflux phenotyping, neoplasia management, and complex interventional strategies. Join us to engage with national leaders, challenge existing algorithms, and strengthen your approach to delivering personalized, state-of-the-art foregut care.

Objectives:

  • Utilize physiological testing, including pH-impedance, manometry, and EndoFLIP, to differentiate between true GERD, motility mimics, and functional disorders to prevent suboptimal surgical outcomes.
  • Analyze current and emerging therapeutic strategies for the management of foregut neoplasia, spanning the spectrum from surveillance and endoscopic resection to definitive surgical therapy.
  • Contrast multidisciplinary perspectives on "gray-zone" clinical controversies through evidence-based debates, focusing on the comparative outcomes of medical, endoscopic, and surgical approaches.
  • Assess advancements in minimally invasive and robotic techniques for the treatment of structural and functional foregut disorders, with an emphasis on improving perioperative
  • Implement coordinated, team-based strategies for the triage and management of complex foregut complications, centering on effective communication between gastroenterology, surgery, and advanced practice providers.
