Dr. Asad Ur Rahman, MD, FACP, serves as a staff gastroenterologist at the Digestive Disease Institute. He is also the associate program director for the GI fellowship program and core faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr Rahman graduated summa cum laude from Khyber Medical College, Pakistan. He subsequently did an Internal Medicine residency at Advent Health Orlando, where he served as Chief Resident and received the award for being the most outstanding resident from the American College of Physicians and for outstanding research. Following this, he moved to Cleveland Clinic Florida for a Gastroenterology fellowship, where he also served as Chief Fellow. Upon completion of this fellowship training, he has stayed on as a staff gastroenterologist.

Dr Rahman has a specialty interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He has over 50 peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research in local and international meetings. He has also been invited to give lectures at the Florida Gastroenterology Society and American College of Gastroenterology meetings. and for grand round lectures at the Cleveland Clinic and other institutions. He has a passion for medical education and volunteers to help medical students, residents, and fellows with mentorship in research and career development.
