Three Part Pre-Conference Workshop:
This three-part interactive skills programme is for physicians who want to add dermoscopy to their practise or improve their skills. Part one will provide an overview of dermoscopy and how it can be used to detect melanoma skin cancer. Part two will include a review of real-life scenarios and slides that will help participants to put what they've learned so far into practise. Participants will be able to utilise dermoscopes to conduct skin exams in part three. The session will be delivered to a small group of people, allowing for plenty of one-on-one time with the experienced speaker. Attendees will receive three extra AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
Course Overview:
The Primary Care in Paradise conference, hosted by Scripps Health, is geared toward primary care physicians and the interdisciplinary care team, and will provide content from their perspective. This essential CME meeting will educate and promote better patient outcomes in a wide range of treatment areas seen in busy primary care practises. Content will be delivered in a very practical, patient-focused manner relevant to the unique primary care setting and issues, in addition to an overview of the history and current science of a range of specialised fields.
Educational Objectives:
After attending this live activity, participants should be able to:
• Incorporate contemporary preventative health-care trends into patient-care practises.
• Effectively communicate personal responsibility in prevention and treatment with patients.
• Implement new multidisciplinary care team tactics to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of medical diseases seen in the office.
• Provide access to and/or offer resources for clinicians and patients to learn more about a variety of therapeutic topics.
• Manage the specialist referral process: establish when to refer, what the specialised treatment will entail, and the primary care physician's role in coordinating care and follow-up.
