2020 Perinatal Medicine Conference is organized by Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) that would be held from Feb 24 - 27, 2020 at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka'anapali, Lahaina, Hawaii, United States of America.
Targets Audience:
The Program is established for gynecologists, obstetricians, perinatologists, neonatologists, nurses, nurse midwives, and other associated health professionals. The mission of USC is to accommodate educational opportunities for the attendees. It provides objective, evidence-based clinical content that can be incorporated into their daily practice to promote clinical care as well as the well-being of their patients.

Course Description:
This association confers a review of important and evolving topics in the field of perinatal medicine. Concerning the review of the literature, data from our own expert faculty, and analyzing the past conferences, we are proud to endeavor a comprehensive program with topics: hypertension in pregnancy management of labor induction, management of TOLAC, common gastrointestinal disorders in pregnancy, an evidence-based approach to shoulder dystocia recognition and treatment, clinical approaches to nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, electronic fetal heart rate monitoring, and a host of other topics. Lectures by USC faculty from the Keck School of Medicine and distinguished guest faculty from the st. Thomas midtown hospital in Nashville. Tennessee and tufts medical center in Boston, Massachusetts will outline controversies, discuss recent developments, and suggest recommendations. Participants will have direct access to the speakers and ample opportunity for intensive question and answer post-lecture discussions.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to,
• Evaluate the current works of literature about the management of shoulder dystocia
• Designing a practical plan to manage gastrointestinal disorders in pregnancy
• Define and consolidate a thyroid treatment plan for disease in pregnancy
• Apply practical tips into practice to thoroughly assess and manage nausea and vomiting in pregnancy
• Describe a practical approach to diagnosis and management of stillbirth
• Assess the controversies surrounding the ARRIVE trial and labor induction
• Implement a plan to manage pregnancies complicated by cancer.
• Construct a practical algorithm for the management of obesity in pregnancy.
• Apply a standardized approach to fetal heart rate monitoring terminology, interpretation, and management.
• Describe the risks and treatment strategies for infectious diseases in pregnancy.
• Explain the strategies to address disparities in maternal mortality.
• Classify the management of operative vaginal delivery.
• Assess the role of emergency surgery in modern obstetric practice.
