Our Workforce Matters symposium tackles the hot topics affecting you daily as a clinician. How do you maintain your own strength and support your colleagues during challenging times whilst maintaining your professionalism? How do we create a resilient workforce that’s equipped for the future?

Some of the issues we’ll discuss include:

• Burnout - identifying and tackling signs of stress
• Reflection - why does it matter?
• Building and retaining teams
• Using feedback to improve patient care
• ‘Lean In’, Women in leadership
• PRIDE and disability in the workplace

Delivered through lectures and small breakout groups, it will provide you with practical advice to support you in managing your day-to-day work commitments more successfully whilst giving you the opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues.

The guiding principle of ‘Our Workforce Matters’ event is based on valuing and respecting our workforce, fostering resilience, success and mutual support, and promoting pride and professionalism in the workplace.

These key issues will appeal to healthcare professionals from a variety of disciplines, especially recently appointed consultants or those who are about to step into the role. You will come away with a greater understanding of the challenges facing us today, and strategies to enable you to make a difference.
