30th Annual Spring Conference on Emergency Medicine is organized by Symposia Medicus and will be held from Mar 27 - 30, 2019 at St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino, Saint Kitts, Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The target audience for this medical event is designed to provide emergency physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, PAs, as well as out-of-hospital providers with state-of-the-art information on a wide variety of topics in emergency medicine.

Conference Description:
The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.

Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.

Conference Objectives:
• Demonstrate strategies for treatment of skin and soft-tissue infections
• Recognize when circulation takes priority over airway resuscitation
• Explain the management of patients using novel psychoactive drugs
• Recognize the physiologic changes associated with pregnancy, and how these changes modify the typical approach to trauma diagnosis and resuscitation
• Apply best practices for discharging the patient with asthma
