2019 ESTRO Teaching Course in Korea is organized by Medrang Inc., The Korean Society for Radiation Oncology (KOSRO) and will be held from Jun 07 - 09, 2019 at Yonsei Cancer Hospital - B3, Seoam Auditorium, Seoul, South Korea.

Description:
ESTRO is delighted to welcome radiation oncologists, physicists and radiation therapists who are interested to improve their knowledge on optimal radiation oncology treatment modalities in GI malignancies, following the main radiotherapy steps as: indication, prescription, delineation, planning, IGRT and outcome evaluation, taking benefit of the educational exclusive environment of the ESTRO multidisciplinary teaching courses.

Specialists of different disciplines will support the radiation oncology audience in understanding the clinical needs, anatomic and pathologic details, and therapeutic achievements needed to optimise radiation oncology knowledge in an international environment, for the benefit of large Asian participation.

The GI malignancies topics will be:
• Oesophageal cancer
• Gastric cancer
• Rectal cancer
• Anal canal cancer

The skills to improve are:
• Proper indication for radiation therapy in a multidisciplinary perspective
• Appropriate prescription
• Tailored delineation according to tumour location and stage
• Dose distribution optimisation and comparison
• Optimal use of available IGRT technologies
• Proper monitoring of tumour response and control.
