Dr. Giuseppe Curigliano, MD, Ph.D. is Senior Deputy Director at the IEO, Division of Medical Oncology. He is a clinician and researcher specializing in breast cancer. Dr. Curigliano earned his MD at the Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in Rome, Italy, and also holds a Ph.D. in clinical pharmacology from the University of Pisa. He completed his fellowship in South Carolina Medical School, Charleston; and Columbia University in New York City, USA.
Dr. Curigliano is an active member of ASCO and ESMO and a founding member of and scientific coordinator for the International Cardio-Oncology Society. He has been Visiting Professor at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, USA, and is a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Breast Cancer Study Group. He has a strong background in preclinical and phases my studies and he coordinates a research platform for new drug development in breast cancer. Dr. Curigliano has published many papers and reviews for a number of prestigious oncology journals.
