OVERVIEW
The 23rd Annual Gabor Racz Advanced Interventional Budapest Pain Conference and Workshop - The 38th FIPP & CIPS Exam is organized by CongressLine Ltd, World Institute of Pain (WIP) and will be held from Aug 27 - 30, 2018 at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus, Budapest, Hungary.
Last year’s program was one of our best. Many positive reviews were given to the remarkable faculty with the best possible topics. We have taken the evaluations of the participants very seriously and are including solid, evidence-packed materials, as well as multiple interventional procedure workshops. There is no question that interventional procedures work; the conference workshops offer the practitioner’s and the basic scientist’s incredible insight into our field of chronic pain treatment.
There are always timely and hot topics that we shall touch on in greater depth. Increasing roles are found for techniques such as stimulation with various frequencies, cryo-neurolysis, entrapment neuropathies, ultrasound, opioid epidemic, and successful treatment by pulse radiofrequency. Progress continues to be made in all branches of interventional pain and leads to the recognition of mechanism of action and why it works, which is imperative.
The current trend of enthusiastic interest for regenerative medicine will be addressed in principles by the unparalleled experts of Drs. Arnold Caplan, Phillipe Hernigou and Aaron Calodney. The neuromodulation program will offer exceptional faculty and topics with the team being assembled by Adnan Al-Kaisy.
The use of ultrasound is progressing forward in techniques such as catheter and electrode placement. Ultrasound helps us to verify the effectiveness of neuro-disruptive methods like cryoanalgesia and heat lesioning. We are happy to have the amazing leadership of Agnes Stogicza and Philip Peng. This program is not to be missed!
This is our 23rd year and the 25th Anniversary of the World Institute of Pain, an extraordinary accomplishment. Making friends, learning how to be safer, and providing better and longer care for our patients has always been our vision. It has been almost a lifetime since Raj dreamt of a worldwide society for teaching physicians. The hardcore nucleus which formed was called the Founders. While we have lost many brave men who contributed greatly in David Niv, Prithri Raj and Jim Heavner, we have had many bright, young, up and coming Physicians step forward to carry on the legacy.
