Dr. Craig Hartrick is a retired anesthesiologist, who specialized in pain. He practiced medicine and pain management for 35 years. He is a former Professor of Biomedical Sciences (Pharmacology) and Professor of Anesthesiology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where he was the founding discipline director for pharmacology. He currently remains a Clinical Professor of Health Sciences at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
Craig’s research interests have included both basic and clinical science, with over 70 studies as principal investigator. He is well published, with over 200 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and textbook chapters. Over the course of the years, Craig has been deemed a subject matter expert in the field of pain management where he has been asked to consult for multiple pharmaceutical companies and venture capital firms.
Dr. Hartrick is also a member of the World Institute of Pain (WIP) organization, a global organization dedicated to the standardization and improvement in pain management around the world. He recently completed 12 years of service as the Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal, Pain Practice. In addition to his work with Caventure, Dr. Hartrick is the current President of the World Institute of Pain.
