Kenneth Chapman MD

Dr. Kenneth B. Chapman is an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Langone Medical Center and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hofstra Medical School. He completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2006 after completing his anesthesia residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC.
Dr. Chapman serves as a Board Examiner for the Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) certification boards. He is the immediate past president of the NYS Interventional Pain Physicians and the only pain management physician to serve on the advisory board to the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board, responsible for writing the state’s Workers’ Compensation Guidelines. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience and on the Advisory Committee of the Latin American Pain Society.
Dr. Chapman is best known for his clinical research pertaining to DRGS. He and his team have received multiple awards for their research, including top research articles and best abstract honors, as well as his work being selected as “Editor’s Choice” in Neuromodulation. His current FDA investigator-sponsored study explores the use of DRGS for osteoarthritis-related knee pain—a novel application of neuromodulation in nociceptive pain.
