The 22nd Annual Childhood Development and Behavior Conference is organized by Colby College and will be held from Aug 02 - 03, 2018 at Colby College, Waterville, Maine, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is psychologists, physicians, social workers, counselors, therapists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 12.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

This conference addresses many facets of intellectual and other developmental disabilities, associated with Down Syndrome and other etiologies. Topics include medical update, complications of diagnosis for special Populations such as deaf and hard of hearing, changes in emphasis on adaptive skills vs. IQ scores, fostering self-determination and providing support to address challenges for individuals and their families. The topics are geared to providers of primary care, rehabilitation services, psychologists, social workers and care managers.

Conference Objectives:
As a result of attending this conference, participants will:
• understand the role of IQ scores and adaptive skills measures in diagnosis
• be aware of policies and strategies that enhance independence in self care and self determination
• understand how to access services for individuals whose level of intellectual and/or developmental disabilities require support
