The Tennessee Pain Society (TPS) Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions is organized by The Tennessee Pain Society (TPS) and will be held from Oct 19 - 21, 2018 at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, Nashville, Tennessee, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is pain management specialists, family physicians with a clinical interest in pain management, anesthesiologists, orthopedists, physiatrists, neurologists, surgeons, general practitioners, psychiatrists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists and healthcare professionals from Tennessee and our neighboring States who have an interest and /or pain management practice and specialize in acute and/or chronic pain management. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 12.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Purpose:
The purpose of this program is to educate physicians, healthcare practitioners and pharmacists in evolving acute and chronic pain management and provide a forum for participants to gain valuable understanding in evidenced-based techniques, treatments and solutions for patients suffering from pain. In addition, Tennessee legal issues and coding/ billing will be presented in a didactic, interactive format.

At the end of this program, participants should be able to:
• Employ key diagnostic and treatment techniques for the management of pain.
• Identify and administer appropriate safe opioid usage in patients.
• Understand and include behavioral analysis in the evaluation of a chronic pain patient.

• Apply evidence-based strategies to clinical practice for managing complex pain patients.
