Sana-ara Ahmed MD, FRCPC

Dr. Sana-Ara Ahmed is a specialist in Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine in private clinical practice in Toronto, ON. She received her M.D. from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006 & completed her residency training in 2011 at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC before eventually joining St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto as a Staff Associate Anesthesiologist in 2012. After completing a Fellowship in Medical Education from the University of Toronto, Dr. Ahmed continued to teach junior Anesthesia doctors at St. Michael’s through the high-fidelity simulation lab at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute in Toronto until 2014.
In addition to academic medicine, Dr. Ahmed has expanded her clinical practice into private interventional chronic pain management & cosmetic medicine and is a certified Botox injector for pain management and cosmetics. She is a member of various medical associations, including anesthesiology & pain medicine. She lives in Downtown Toronto and is the host for the Health Boutique Seminars; a self-initiated platform for educating & empowering women through motivational coaching on preventative health‎ measures& chronic pain. She is a west-coaster at heart, but loves living the urban life in Toronto & is an enthusiastic Toronto Raptors fan.
