Meeting the Challenge of Primary Care is organized by David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA, Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held from Oct 24 - 27, 2018 at Kauai Marriott Resort, Lihue, Hawaii, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is Family physicians, general practitioners, internists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 16.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description:
This four-day course will provide the participant with an update on common problems seen in primary care related to preventive medicine, rheumatology, internal medicine, and women’s health.

A distinguished UCLA faculty group will discuss a variety of topics including hypertension, diabetes, contraception, depression, coronary heart disease, and common rheumatologic disorders.

Conference Objectives:
Following completion of this program, the participant should be able to:
• Diagnose thyroid disorders, liver disorders and rheumatologic disorders
• Manage common problems seen in primary care including diabetes, abnormal liver tests, heart failure, osteoporosis, and depression
• Implement preventive care measures including cholesterol management, contraception, and hypertension
