Movement Disorder Society-Asian and Oceanian Section (MDS-AOS) Neuroimaging Course is organized by International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) and will be held on Oct 04, 2018 at Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, Wanchai, Hong Kong. The target audience for this medical event is neurologists and other physicians managing Parkinson’s disease and related conditions. Basic scientists across neurodegeneration, imaging, physics, engineering, and radiochemistry.
Course Description:
This course has been conceived in light of the work being conducted by the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, Neuroimaging Study Group, chaired by Antonio Strafella. This course will provide an opportunity for scientists and clinicians to be upskilled on the latest advances in the field of Neuroimaging across multi-modal techniques. Additionally, the course will be conducted as a series of lectures with opportunities both during this meeting and also at the subsequent MDS International Congress for cross-fertilization and collaboration.
Course Objectives:
• Identify the role of imaging in clinical practice
• Explain the limitations underlying current research techniques
• Describe the way in which imaging modalities may be complementary
• Predict the direction of future research
