International scientific colloquium - Shaping the evolution of CME towards better outcomes is organized by e-hims BVBA, International Society for the Study and Exchange of evidence from Clinical research And Medical experience (ISSECAM) and will be held on Dec 07, 2018 at Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp, Antwerp, Belgium. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of  5 CME credits.

Course Description:
Nowadays healthcare professionals are under considerable pressure due to an increasing demand of care by aging populations, growing technological possibilities, expanding scientific knowledge, a larger administrative burden and patient empowerment. Therefore they struggle to maintain and develop their knowledge and skills in order to provide the most appropriate care to their patients.

Over the past decade, CME slowly evolved from traditional, lecture-based formats towards more interactive, needs-based and learner-centered strategies, including online programs. In addition, the importance of measuring the impact of CME on clinicians’ performance is increasingly acknowledged. However, the implementation of these new paradigms is in its infancy, and the literature on the most effective and efficient CME formats leaves us with many questions. Most CME fails to meet clinicians’ current true needs.

During this colloquium, we want to explore with different stakeholders how CME can evolve to produce better outcomes in a changing professional and societal environment.

This congress positions itself by purely focusing on CME which are of interest to all stakeholders dealing with CME.
