Birgitte Schoenmakers MD, PhD

Prof Dr. Schoenmakers is a general practitioner and currently Head of Academic Teaching Practice Leuven. She is the designer of the assessment program of the advanced master in Family Medicine and of the recently installed proficiency test for Family Medicine candidates. She also developed a digital platform to assess and evaluate students. In the university teaching practice, trainees and residents are observed using video tracking during real life patient encounters. Birgitte Schoenmakers is also the co-creator of a digital e-learning platform in close collaboration with ACCO Publishers.
