Healthy Eating in Practice 2018 Conference is organized by Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP), UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP), Duke Sanford - World Food Policy Center (WFPC) and will be held from Aug 26 - 29, 2018 at The Omni Grove Park Inn, Asheville, North Carolina, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Physicians from all specialties, nurses, registered dietitian nutritionists, and other health practitioners, public health professionals, hospital and insurance executives, health educators, policy makers, and community leaders. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 19.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description:
Healthy Eating in Practice is a hands-on conference for practitioners, researchers, and influencers, focused on changing the culture of healthcare to better support healthy eating behaviors, particularly in children and families, and prevent chronic diet-related diseases.
Grounded in experiential learning, this national conference will equip attendees to address the root causes of these chronic diseases. Through participatory workshops (including hands-on cooking instruction), peer learning, and panels and presentations from leading practitioners, researchers, and policy experts, attendees will gain practical skills and approaches that work in the day-to-day reality of healthcare.
