AOTrauma Course - Advanced Principles of Fracture Management is organized by AOTrauma and will be held from Aug 02 - 04, 2018 at Taj Chandigarh, Chandigarh, India. The target audience for this medical event is Orthopaedic surgery, Trauma surgery.

The AO Trauma Course- Advanced Principles of Fracture Management teaches current concepts and AO basic principles at an advanced level incorporating the latest techniques in operative fracture management. Participants must have already completed the AO Trauma Course- Basic Principles of Fracture Management. They also must be actively involved in trauma management.

Conference Objectives are :
• Apply the principles of direct and indirect reduction.
• Explain the mechanical and biological principles of locked internal fixators and apply them in clinical practice.
• Manage fractures with severe soft-tissue injuries applying fracture treatment principles.
• Describe the role of damage control orthopedics and early total care in polytraumatized patients.
• Formulate how to treat nonunions or malunions based on underlying biological and mechanical principles.
• Discuss assessment strategies of severe open injuries in the lower limb and decision-making for limb salvage or early amputation.
