OVERVIEW
American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Cancer Dormancy and Residual Disease Course is organized by American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and will be held during Jun 19 - 22, 2018 at Hyatt Regency Montreal, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians, cancer biologists, PhDs, and MSc trainees in cell biology, cancer biology, and bioengineering at managing recurrences in both solid and liquid tumors. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are : -
• Identify an alternate paradigm of tumor progression whereby metastases arise from cells that disseminate from the primary site at any stage of primary tumor progression and evolve independent from the primary tumor (i.e., parallel progression models).
• Assess basic mechanisms that control residual disease dormancy onset, maintenance and reactivation.
• Distinguish the different clinical scenarios where MRD may be studied in a dormant state in liquid and solid cancers.
• Evaluate the potential therapeutic opportunities and to elaborate upon the potential biological targets to treat dormant MRD in different cancers.
• Identify potential imaging and diagnostic opportunities to detect and monitor MRD in dormant or reactivating states.
