91st Annual Scientific Meeting of the German Society for Orthodontics eV is organized by German Society of Orthodontics eV / Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Kieferorthopadie e.V. (DGKFO), MCI Germany GmbH and will be held from Oct 10 - 13, 2018 at Messe Bremen Hall 7, Bremen, Germany.

This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 24 continuing education credits.
Per day: 8 continuing education credits Pre-congress course: 9 continuing education credits.
Overview:
The conference will be hosted by the President of the Conference, Professor Stahl from the University of Rostock, who has prepared a technically attractive program for you.
With the motto "Orthodontics interdisciplinary: Medicine & Dentistry", the conference president has chosen a topic for this year, in which it can be pointed out how extensive interdisciplinary aspects can play a role in orthodontics. This choice of topics allows for a wide range of contributions that will promote exchange between university and practice as well as between orthodontics and medicine. The significance of this can not be overestimated against the background of the changes in dental education - keyword approval regulations for dentistry.
The first main topic "Orthodontics interdisciplinary with medicine" will focus on interdisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic concepts of our subject with other medical disciplines, such as sleep medicine, otorhinolaryngology, internal medicine, and psychology. The emphasis should be on the consequences for orthodontic care.
The second main topic "Orthodontics interdisciplinary with dentistry" sheds light on the interfaces between our subject and the other dental subjects with regard to evidence-based diagnostics as well as complex, interdisciplinary care concepts for our patients. There will be keynote speeches on pediatric dentistry, tooth preservation/traumatology and prosthetics.
As with every conference, there is room for the independent topics of orthodontics in Bremen, of course in both lecture and poster formats.
Since the annual conference in 2011, the "Parallel Symposium for Young Scientists: Experimental and Clinical Basic Research" has enriched our annual conferences. In Bremen, for example, our junior researchers are offered a forum to present their scientific projects, during which lively discussions can be held with colleagues interested in research.
The further offer of our annual meeting also includes the day for the practice team. This offers by popular request again a workshop on photography in orthodontics. The seminar on the subject of communication methods in orthodontics will certainly meet with the approval of the participants.
Not to be forgotten are the notes on the interesting pre-congress course by Professor McNamara of the University of Michigan and a demo workshop on Digital Jaw Models - Creation and Analysis.
Of course, the German Society for Orthodontics eV once again organizes a conference-related exhibition together with the dental industry. This enables visitors to get to know well-proven and new products for everyday orthodontic practice.
Personally, I think that the President of the Conference has succeeded in putting together a highly interesting and varied program for all conference participants. This will take place in a modern and adequately dimensioned congress environment.
Since I worked for two years in Bremen, I know what this city can offer next to the conference. Enjoy the proximity of the congress center to the city center and the Bürgerpark and make use of the attractive supporting program, or explore the city together with your colleagues for a relaxed collegial exchange.
22 years after 1996, the annual meeting of the German Society for Orthodontics eV will take place for the second time in Bremen. On behalf of the company, I cordially invite you to this conference and wish you a successful professional and personal exchange in a pleasant environment.
