Bernd G. Lapatki PhD

Dr. Bernd G. Lapatki, Ph.D. is a Managing Director of the Center for Dental, Oral, and Maxillofacial Medicine at the University Hospital Ulm. Bernd Lapatki passed the state examination in dentistry at the University of Freiburg. This was followed by a general dental assistantship and further training to become a specialist in orthodontics at the University Hospital in Freiburg. In 1998 he received his PhD. in the medical dent. with an experimental study of dental stress when playing wind instruments. In 2007 he completed his habilitation on the pathogenesis and treatment stability of the covering bite. Initiated by a one-year research stay in the Netherlands, a Ph.D. in neurophysiology at the Universiteit Nijmegen followed in 2010 with a thesis on the characterization of the facial muscles at the level of the motor units.
