New York Cardiovascular Symposium: Major Topics in Cardiology Today is organized by American College of Cardiology (ACC) and will be held during Dec 08 - 10, 2017 at New York Hilton Midtown, New York, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is basically for cardiovascular specialists, internists, family physicians, advanced practice nurses, nurses in cardiology and physician assistants.This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 21.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Overview :
Fifty years ago, a group of cardiovascular experts gathered in New York under the direction of Dr. Henry Russek to discuss optimal strategies to treat patients with cardiovascular disease. After meeting annually for thirty years, Dr. Russek selected world-renowned cardiologist, Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD, MACC, to continue the educational goal of the meeting with cardiovascular peers and colleagues. For over twenty years, Dr. Fuster has brought together the masters of cardiology at the New York Cardiovascular Symposium. Course Objectives :
The goal of this course is for participants to incorporate the most recent advances in cardiovascular care including developments in the diagnosis, treatment and management of cardiovascular disease, and to ensure clinical relevance for translation to practice.
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Recognize emerging clinical evidence on the assessment and management of risk factors in patients with, or at increased risk for, cardiovascular and coronary artery disease
• Debate the new understanding of methods, technologies and timing of treatment for acute coronary syndromes
• Identify the methods and timing of treatment for chronic coronary and systemic arterial disease
• Summarize key scientific concepts in trends and challenges of approaching prevention of cardiovascular disease
• Evaluate contemporary approaches, treatment and management strategies for patients with systolic heart failure and rhythm disorders
• Identify the current challenges in managing aortic valve disease, IHSS and mitral regurgitation
• Review the progress of 2017 in novelties introduced in the topics of genetics, cell regeneration and molecular signaling
