Management of Facial Trauma - Previously the Principles of Operative Treatment of Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction is organized by AOTrauma North America and would be held during Dec 02 - 03, 2017 at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, Jacksonville, Florida, United States Of America.

The target audience for this medical event forsurgeons in training in the fields of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Otolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstruction, Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics. Practicing surgeons may also find this course beneficial. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 13.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

The principles courses are designed to equip surgeons with the state-of-the-art skills and techniques for treating and managing CMF fractures from trauma, as well as congenital defects, secondary correction of injuries and aesthetic reconstruction. Highlights of the course will include sessions on anatomy, biomechanics, surgical approaches and principles of internal fixation of the mandible and midface.

Experts in the field of CMF Surgery will compare and contrast current methods and provide indications for the use of these techniques. The modular course format will focus on the craniomaxillofacial patient in a conceptual case study and practical exercise format. Participants in small groups will rotate through each module over the two day course. These SGDs compliment both the lectures and the practical exercises by discussing the four AO Principles of Fracture Fixation

Conference Objectives are :

Upon completion, participants should be able to: • Diagnose facial injury through history, physical examination, and diagnostic investigations
• Formulate a treatment plan (operative and non-operative)
• Perform the specific treatment for facial trauma
• Modify the treatment plan when necessary
• Manage patient follow-up and rehabilitation
• Identify and manage complications
