The Recently Appointed Consultant’s Committee annual symposium is a key event in the College calendar, tackling themes that affect the healthcare workforce today, particularly those having recently completed training. This year’s symposium has lectures on interviews, patient opinion and job satisfaction related to consultant jobs. In addition, the symposium boasts a variety of breakout sessions dedicated to looking deeper into issues facing doctors today. Topics discussed in the breakout sessions this year include patient safety, stress in the workplace and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
