International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) Annual Conference 2016 is organized by International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and would be held during Jul 20 - 23, 2016 at Sheraton Grand Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.

This year’s conference theme is Celebrating Baby Friendly in the Hospital and Beyond: Helping Families Thrive Worldwide. Baby-friendly practices are those that support and promote breastfeeding—in all settings and stages.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES :
- Facilitate skill development and global networking among lactation specialists in an inclusive environment.
- Disseminate research related to human lactation and encourage its integration in clinical practice.
- Facilitate greater development of cultural humility among lactation specialists.
- Promote ethical, evidence-based practice that protects the well being of breastfeeding dyads in diverse contexts.
- Promote breastfeeding as the biological norm for feeding and nurturing infants and young children.
- Promote equitable access to breastfeeding, breastfeeding support, and the IBCLC profession.
- Promote support of families' informed decisions regarding breastfeeding.
- Promote breastfeeding-supportive practices in healthcare, social service, and community settings.
