Ana M. Parrilla Rodríguez MD, MPH, FABM

Dr. Ana M. Parrilla is medicine specialist medical health aide breastfeeding. He is Professor Program Maternal and Child of the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Puerto Rico, where he coordinates the Division of Education and Outreach and the Project for the Promotion of Human Lactation and Breastfeeding

He holds a doctorate in Medicine School of Medicine, University of Puerto Rico and a Masters in Public Health specializing in the health of the mother and child, the same institution. It is " Inaugural Fellow " of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, the highest distinction awarded by this organization for his contribution to the field of human lactation and breastfeeding. Because of their experience and contribution to research in the field of breastfeeding was chosen, with the rank of full membership, to belong to the International Society for Research in Human and Lactation milk. It is certified as a practitioner Energy Medicine and Instructor of Medicine women's Eden energy Method. It is also certified educator and Lamaze International Doula childbirth.

He is active member of several prestigious organizations including member: the International Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, the American Association of Public Health Physicians and the Association of Teachers of Maternal and Child. It is faculty associate at the Institute of Breastfeeding of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It belongs to the Advisory Board of the Coalition to Improve Services for Motherhood (CIMS, for its acronym in English) and alternate representative of the Association of Teachers of Maternal and Child in the Breastfeeding Committee of the United States (USBC). He is a member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rican Foundation for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood - Promani.
