4th Annual shaping the Management of Parkinson's Disease : Debating the issues, Discoveries and Development is organized by Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Medical Education and would be held during Mar 5 - 6, 2016 at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas, NV, USA. The target audience for this medical event basically for all clinicians who treat patients with Parkinson disease, including neurologists, internists, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners. The goal of this educational activity is unique because it will update attendees on the most current and controversial approaches to our understanding of the mechanisms and treatment of Parkinson disease in a debate format. This CME conference has been approved with 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to do the following:
• Synthesize safety and efficacy data from clinical trials of dopamine agonists in Parkinson disease and assess their implications for clinical practice.
• Critically evaluate emerging therapies for PD and define their use in clinical practice.
• Describe the evidence suggesting that PD risk can be decreased through the use of neuroprotectants.
• Define an appropriate strategy for initiating dementia treatment in patients with PD.
• Describe appropriate use of dopamine transporter (DaT) scans combined with clinical signs and symptoms to diagnose PD.
• Summarize efficacy and safety data for deep brain stimulation and describe its role in clinical practice.
• List the highlights of new research on the role of genetics and biomarkers in the pathogenesis of PD.
