The Palliative Medicine and Supportive Oncology Symposium focuses on providing an intensive multidisciplinary
review of cutting-edge topics in the rapidly developing field of palliative medicine and supportive oncology.
This year the Machaskee Lecture will feature Dr.Graeme Rocker speaking on “End of Life Care for COPD.”
Together,we will explore potential solutions to improve the quality of care of patients with chronic illnesses through palliative and supportive oncology therapies.
We will examine improved therapeutic options in the hematology patient and the role of radiation in palliative medicine.Parallel workshops and sessions are being offered with a focus on supportive oncology and key palliative medicine topics: falls prevention and starting a home-based palliative medicine program.
