Outline:
The course is designed to provide detailed knowledge of peripheral nervous system and procedures, Cancer Pain and Phantom Limb Pain (e.g., peripheral nerve blockade, nerve mapping, peripheral nerve stimulation, Ultrasound guided Nerve Ablation of both peripheral nerves and joints) and Cryotherapy.
Objectives:
To improve knowledge of normal anatomy
To discuss and demonstrate common and uncommon sites of entrapment neuropathies
To discuss strategies for prevention of perioperative nerve injuries
To demonstrate practical nerve mapping technique
To train injection techniques
To train peripheral and joint nerve ablation
To train Ultrasound-guided Intrathecal pump refill
