Caldicott Guardians: Annual Training Conference

We are pleased to announce the first annual Caldicott Guardians Conference will be chaired and has been produced in association with Christopher Fincken, Chair, The UK Council of Caldicott Guardians. The conference aims to bring current and aspiring Caldicott Guardians together to understand current issues and the national context, and to debate and discuss key issues and areas they are facing in practice. Following National Update sessions, key areas will focus on developing your skills as an effective Caldicott Guardian, what sharing really means in practice in terms of joint records, and a paperless NHS, information disclosure to the police, Caldicott Decision Making and understanding what happens if there is disagreement, the legal context, the role of the Caldicott Guardian in research and ethics approval, and managing information breaches.
