OVERVIEW
Objectives:
• To be aware of the most appropriate treatment for inferior alveolar nerve damage as a result of dental implants.
• To be aware of the most appropriate management of inferior alveolar nerve damage as a result of root canal therapy.
• To be aware of some of the implications of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws.
• To be conversant with the concept of coronectomy and lingual retraction to decrease the risk of nerve involvement with dentoalveolar surgery.
